RN to BSN-Completion

Program Overview

Complete your RN to BSN-Completion degree at Bethel College in a Christ-centered environment where professors truly care and connect with students. Bethel's BSN-Completion program consists of 29 credits of nursing courses and a total of 120 credit hours of total course work. Students are admitted twice a year in the Fall (August) and Spring (January). Nursing courses are taught in a seven-week adult format. Students can choose from two tracks:

  • All online - you study where and when it fits your life.
  • Hybrid – some classroom, some online.

Program completion timeframes

Two timeframes are available for completing the BSN-Completion program:

  • Twelve-month accelerated option consisting of three semesters. Students take two courses per term. Complete your BSN in only 1 year!
  • Twenty-month part-time option consisting of five semesters, including one summer. Students take one nursing course at a time.

Admission requirements

Note: Admission to Bethel college does not guarantee admission to the School of Nursing. Applicants will receive separate notification of acceptance into the BSN-Completion Program. Required School of Nursing matriculation criteria must be met.

  • Admission to Bethel College. Complete an application
  • Minimum GPA 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) on prior college coursework
  • Current and unencumbered RN licensure in the state where clinical projects will be done

RN to MSN option (with BSN-completion bridge)

Complete your RN to MSN in as little as 3 years! Enroll in the BSN-C program and seamlessly continue onto your MSN with an additional two years of graduate-level coursework. Students can choose from two tracks: MSN Educator or MSN Administrator. Financial incentives are available to all Bethel BSN-C students who choose to pursue the RN to MSN track after successful graduation from the BSN program at Bethel.

Note: Students must earn the BSN degree from Bethel and enroll in the MSN program within 15 months of BSN graduation at Bethel to qualify for the financial incentive. MSN program admission criteria must be met.

Course of study

The program is comprised of general education courses, required cognates, and lower and upper level nursing courses.

The BSN Completion program is ACEN* accredited facilitating advancement to graduate programs.
